This event is going to be a “unique” format. We are going to try many of the new ideas PGA of America, the USGA and Jack Nicklaus have been endorsing to increase the fun, enjoyment, and time restraints of the game.
This tournament will serve, as an interesting approach to see if events like these could become part of golf’s future play. Because of the time of year, this event will be an open event, meaning guests will be eligible to play. This will be a MGGM sponsored event.
Details of the tournament
- This will be a 12 hole tournament – Holes 1 – 12
- Format will be best ball of 4 – gross and net
- 6 inch size holes will be used.
- Closest to the pin
- Rounds MUST be completed by Noon or no chowder ( 3 hour time limit )
- Chowder and refreshment will be served.
Sign-up in the golf shop or return the enclosed entry form. Sign-up by October 19, 2011 by 3:oo pm. Make up your foursome. If you are a single or couple we will pair you accordingly.
Entry fee $12.00 including prizes and chowder for members (cart fee applies)
** Non-members will be $30.00
