The Front Nine
Hole number one plays downhill to a large green which is protected by several bunkers on the right and mounds on the left. Not an easy opening hole as the wind is tricky. Take enough club.
Hole number two is sneaky long. The uphill 182 yards plays long. The green tilts to the lower right corner so watch those putts!
Hole number three is a great short par four. Big hitters will go for the green, but look out for trouble on the right. There are a large number of bunkers to negotiate before your second shot to this elevated green.
Number four features a two-tiered green that requires an accurate tee shot to have a chance at a birdie. As you leave the green, be sure to pay your respects to John Hall, who is buried nearby.

Don’t be fooled by number 6. Severly uphill, this 125 yard par three has a severely sloping green from back to front. Get above the hole here and bogey is assured!
Number seven is another sleeper. From the tips you cannot see the putting surface. The large green is protected on the left by a large bunker and on the right by moguls.
The eighth hole is one of the finest par three holes on Cape Cod. It measures over 200 yards from the back tees and is well protected by mounds and a large, deep bunker. Depending on wind, number 8 can be a three club hole.
The closing hole on the outward half sports a tricky dog leg left par 4. Aim at the series of bunkers and land just short, and you’ll have a good look at the pin for your approach.
The Back Nine
Par at the tenth hole is a great score. A very narrow fairway requires a straight shot of about 230 yards. This severe dog leg left is a real test if you don’t make the corner. Again a deep bunker, moguls, and a deep hazard protect this ample green.
The 11th hole at the Golf Club at Yarmouthport is a real challenge. A 195 yard shot to a very narrow green is a must if you are to make a decent score on this hole. Woods left, water right, and very small pot bunkers provide the challenge for those who miss the green.
Number 12 is a straightforward, uphill par three of about 150 yards. Hint: Take 1 more club, as the uphill is sneaky.
The par four 13th is the number 1 handicap hole for a reason. You must clear the 165 yard hazard and make it past the dog leg right if you hope to be home in two. OB right and left will keep the big hitters from taking too much risk.
Fourteen is a very picturesque hole. The fountain and pond on the right have claimed many a stray tee shot. Play left and short of the green and get your par.
Fifteen sports another fountain and small pond, but the real trouble here is OB right and steep hills left. Bunkers protect this uphill green on both sides. Be careful!
Number 17 is a straight forward 140 yard downhill par three. Do NOT get in the tiny pot bunker or you will flirt with bogey.
The eighteenth is a great closing hole. This par five from the tips is only 444 yards. But accuracy off the tee is paramount. A high fade gets you to the fairway. A bunker guards the left side. The approach shots to this right-to-left sloping green must negotiate deep and small bunkers.
Hole Sixteen
The sixteenth hole provides little relief as the very narrow tee shot requires accuracy to the two-tiered green. Putts will try to get to the left front of this green, so landing in the right spot is crucial.
